BO'NESS CHURCHES TOGETHER

Advent Festival

Bo'ness Churches come together for this Festival, and each year a different Church hosts the event. This year it is the turn of St Mary's .

Saturday 2nd December  11:00am - 3:00pm.

Come along and view the beautiful decorated 10 Christmas trees in all their glory within the Church. Join us after for a cuppa and some homemade baking.

Sunday 3rd December 6:30pm

Join us in our Carol service where all the Bo'ness Churches are contributing. Also join us after the service for a cuppa and homemade baking. Donations would be gratefully received with all proceeds going to the Bo'ness Dementia club. 

Salvation Army Community Carol Service 

6th December. Bo'ness Town hall. 7:00pm Everyone is welcome. 

 

SVP News Christmas Lunch for our “slightly older” parishioners will be held on Thursday December 21st at the Corbie Inn. Meal requests will be collected later – note that it will be a meal only. Housebound parishioners we always give a gift token at Christmas time to the housebound. Do let us know of anyone in this position.

 

World Day for the Poor A special Collection for the World Day for the Poor takes place on Sunday 19 November. The money will go to the Fife Furniture Project, which is run by the Society of St Vincent de Paul. It has helped hundreds of people across the Archdiocese, many in desperate situations, by providing basic furniture and white goods for their home. Please note that the annual collection for the Scottish Catholic Education Service will take place the following Sunday (26 November).

 

Special Collection for SCES: The annual collection for the Scottish Catholic Education Service will take place in all parishes on Sunday 26 November, which is during Catholic Education Week (actually a fortnight, which runs from 16-30 November).

Archdiocesan Youth Day! A day of faith and fun for p4-7s on Saturday 25 November. Join us as we unpack Jesus the King of the Universe and explore how we can prepare to meet our King this Christmas. Games, talks, sweets, confessions, mass and more! 10:30am to 3:30pm at the Gillis Centre, 100 Strathearn Road, Edinburgh, EH9 1BB. Speak to the parish priest to register.

 

Storehouse Food Bank and The Salvation Army Can you help to supply Christmas Dinners to those in need in the town? We have been asked to supply cranberry sauce, cream, jelly, custard and rice pudding. Also, we are looking for donations of new toys. The deadline for donations is 10th December. Financial donations instead of or in addition to gifts will also be gratefully received.
