Lenten Service

Each Tuesday evening during Lent we will gather at St Mary's to pray and reflect together. We will begin with the Stations of the Cross, which will be followed by a Holy Communion Service.

All are very welcome to join us as we journey through Lent and prepare for the events of Holy Week and Easter to come.

Ecumenical Way of the Cross

​Each year during Holy Week, we gather at St Mary's with our sisters and brothers from Christian churches across Bo'ness. Join us as we pray and reflect on the Stations of the Cross, followed by refreshments in the church hall. All are welcome!

Mass of the Lord's Supper

​Join us as we begin the Sacred Triduum with Mass of the Lord's Supper. As we recall the first Last Supper, we recall the evening that Jesus instituted the Eucharist and placed himself at the service of his disciples as he washed their feet. We reflect on his Agony in the Garden the night before his crucifixion and death. 

Following Mass, the church will be open for those who wish to wait with the Lord and we will conclude with Night Prayer at 10pm.

Night Prayer

​We will bring Holy Thursday to a close together with Night Prayer before the Altar of Repose. All are very welcome.

Morning Prayer

​We will gather on the morning of Good Friday for Morning Prayer of the Church. All are warmly invited to join us.

Liturgy of the Passion

We gather to recall Christ's Passion at 3pm on Good Friday. We will gather in prayer to hear the Passion narrative, venerate the Cross and receive Holy Communion.

Veneration and Way of the Cross

Our evening service on Good Friday is an opportunity to pray the Stations of the Cross and venerate the Cross. All are welcome.

Morning Prayer

On Holy Saturday, as we wait at the Tomb of our Lord in preparation for his resurrection which we will celebrate at our Easter Vigil. We will begin by gathering for Morning Prayer of the Church. All are welcome!

Easter Vigil

​The pinnacle of our Church's year as we mark the resurrection of Christ Jesus at our Easter Vigil. All are warmly welcomed and we hope you can join us for this very special celebration.
