FROM FATHER FORREST:  My sincere thanks to all who kindly remembered me on my Birthday.

VENERATION OF THE RELICS OF ST THERESA OF LISIEUX:  The arrival of the relics of St. Thérèse of Lisieux to Scotland is greatly anticipated, and we would like to extend an opportunity to everyone in St. Mary's to engage in the spiritual celebrations surrounding this important event. St. Thérèse, also known as the Little Flower, entered the Carmelite Monastery at the age of 15, but died at the young age of 27 in 1897. In her short life she inspired a spiritual revolution, and has helped many to understand God's love and grow closer to Him in prayer.

The parish minibus will leave St. Mary's at 12.30pm on Sunday 8th September 2019, and we will spend 1 hour with the relics at St. Mary's Cathedral in Edinburgh. We will join in prayer and veneration while at the Cathedral before returning to Bo'ness. If you would be interested in joining us for this special occasion, please add your name to the list in the church hall.

ST MARY’S PRIMARY SCHOOL BREAKFAST CLUB:  The new term has started and with it the Breakfast Club. The Club really needs more adult volunteers so if you can spare an hour once a week (from 8am to 9am) then please add your name to the list in the hall. The children need you!

COLLECTIONS: The Offertory Collection last weekend realised £473.54 and the Special Collection raised £176.59. Very grateful thanks to all donors!

HEALTH AND SAFETY: Many thanks to you all for participating so enthusiastically in the fire evacuation exercises last week – the church emptied in record time!

THANK YOU! Thank you to the person who generously donated a new freezer for the kitchen – it is very much appreciated. We now have a refrigerator, freezer and industrial dishwasher that conform to current health, safety and environmental standards.

TEA AND COFFEE: Tea and coffee is available in the hall after 10am Mass today – EVERYONE is welcome! The proceeds from the teas and coffees after 10 am Mass on 29th September will be donated to MacMillan Cancer Support.
