Words for Wellbeing: Words for Wellbeing groups will take place at Bo’ness Library on 16th and 30th April from 10am to 11am. The groups are intended to support mental health and wellbeing by encouraging people to get out of the house and enabling them to socialise. The groups are free as are the refreshments. For more information or to register interest people can call 01324 504 242 or email Gavin Johnstone at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Children’s Liturgy: Children’s Liturgy restarts today – welcome back!
Praying for the sick and housebound: We would like to return to praying weekly for our sick and housebound parishioners at Sunday Masses, and including such prayer requests in our weekly newsletter. To add someone’s name to the list, please email email@example.com or speak to any passkeeper. Please get agreement from the person concerned, and don’t forget to let us know if they no longer should be on the list.
Lourdes Pilgrimage: The Archdiocesan Lourdes Pilgrimage is back! Demand is expected to be high for this popular and life-enhancing trip so booking now is recommended. It takes place from 8-15 July and will be led by Archbishop Cushley. All the details you need are at www.edinburgh-lourdes.com/lourdes22
Gift Aid: If you are a taxpayer and not currently in the parish gift aid scheme please consider joining; signing a simple form is all that is required. William McAllister or Tony Edwards can provide further details if you are interested in finding out more.
Volunteers for the Garden: With Spring arriving the work on the parish gardens increases apace. There is currently only a very small group that regularly tend to our award-winning grounds. More volunteers are needed to help spread the load – if you could even just give an hour or so of your time it would be such a great help.
A Prayer for Peace in Ukraine: O Loving God, your Son, Jesus Christ, came into the world to do your Will and leave us His Peace. Through the intercession and example of our Blessed Mother Mary, Queen of Peace, grant us the wisdom and humility to reflect that peace to the world. Inspire our thoughts, words and deeds to bear witness to your presence in our hearts. May your Holy Spirit fill us with every grace and blessing so that we may pursue what leads to peace for all humanity. Amen
