Water Damage in the Hall

Following bursts to a pipe in the roof space of the hall considerable damage has been sustained. Our insurance company, following an inspection from a loss assessor, has approved remedial work. The following is a quote from their email to us: “ The loss mitigation organised by the church was helpful and the next step is securing quotations for the following works:

Spray treat/target dry the attic

Replacement of attic insulation

Removal/replacement of approx. 20m2 hall ceiling

Removal/replacement of hall carpeting and engineered timber flooring

Checking/re-commissioning of electrics

Checking/replacement of ceiling speakers and wiring (if required)

Replacement of ceiling lights

Decoration/cleaning to complete

Cleaning is initially recommended for the carpet tiles located at the entrance to the church however replacement could be considered should cleaning be unsuccessful.” We will let you know when work is scheduled to start.
