MESSAGE FROM FATHER FORREST

A Very Happy New Year to each and every one of you – full of God’s Grace and Blessing.

My sincere thanks to everyone who so kindly remembered me this Christmas – much appreciated.

NEW YEAR’S DAY

Wednesday – New Year’s Day – is the feast of Mary, Mother of god; Mass is at 10am.

STOREHOUSE AND SALVATION ARMY

Thank you to all of our parishioners who contributed to the collection of food for families and children in the Bo’ness area. Your tremendous support helped raise the magnificent total of 76 hampers which were delivered just before Christmas. A special thank you to Alice and Erica Markey for their reverse Advent calendar boxes of food. Also a huge thank you for the cash donations: £330 for the Salvation Army and £190 for Storehouse. Well done everyone!

SCOUTS POST

The scouts raised £960 for their operation of a local postal service this year. Thank you to everyone who used it.

PILGRIMAGE - We are currently investigating the possibility of a parish pilgrimage to Iona Abbey, which would include two night's accommodation on the Isle of Mull, in August 2020. The cost would be approximately £350 and if preferred a payment plan can be arranged in the months prior to the pilgrimage. The cost includes accommodation, breakfast and evening meals, the hire of a coach and both entrance to and a guided tour of Iona Abbey. If you would be interested in going, please add your name to the list in the church hall, or email Callum on callum.timms@rcboness.org.

.COLLECTIONS - The Offertory Collection last weekend realised £442.16 and the Second Collection £103.87; grateful thanks to all donors. There will be a Special Collection next week for the work of Justice and Peace.

Tea and Coffee will be served after Mass today …. Hope you can join us!!
