The Offertory Collections last week amounted to £421.70; also, the Lenten Alms basket at the altar raised £36.10 and we received a donation of £25 - grateful thanks to all donors.

SVP News – thank you to all who contributed to our finances, raising just under £3000 over the financial year; We have spent £1500, a full account will be available to parishioners on request. We need other kinds of help, in particular, people to go on our committee. It meets only once a month and is not onerous. Caravan Holidays – we have been allocated one holiday at Port Seton this year – Saturday August 19th. This is for parishioners who otherwise would not get a break. Contact us for details; transport can be arranged.

Prepare for Pentecost Join this six-week online  talk series to prepare and learn more about two major feasts at the end of Eastertide: Pentecost and Holy Trinity Sunday. Led by Sister Anna Marie McGuan RSM and Fr Kevin Douglas, it will take a closer look at what we believe about the Holy Trinity based on the writings of St Thomas Aquinas. Begins on Tuesday 2 May at 7:30pm (1 hour). St Margaret’s Pilgrimage 2023 St Margaret Pilgrimage returns to Dunfermline on Sunday 18 June. Mass is at 2:30pm in St Margaret’s Memorial Church in East Port, with Archbishop Cushley as principal celebrant. Prior to that there is an ecumenical service at 12:30pm in Dunfermline Abbey, followed by prayers at the tomb of St Margaret. Join people from across the Archdiocese and beyond to give thanks to God for St Margaret’s example of faith, charity and leadership. 

Mass for Married & Engaged Couples Archbishop Leo Cushley will celebrate Mass for Married and Engaged Couples at St Mary's Cathedral in Edinburgh at 7:15pm on Wednesday 31 May. Reception in Coffee Saints afterwards. If you are celebrating a significant anniversary this year, or know couples who are, please email Fr Jeremy Milne so an invitation can be sent. Lourdes Pilgrimage 2023 There’s still time to book your place on the Archdiocesan pilgrimage to Lourdes, which takes place from 7-14 July. Everyone is welcome, and those with disabilities/medical issues are especially invited - you will be cared for 24/7 by a dedicated team of doctors, nurses and support workers. Financial assistance may be available to support your pilgrimage. Called & Gifted Workshop Identify your charisms (spiritual gifts) and discern God’s call through the Called and Gifted Workshop. It is hosted by the Archdiocese in collaboration with the St Catherine of Siena Institute and takes place on Saturday 20 May from 9:00am to 3:30pm. Rethink Abortion Training Day This day will help you clarify your own beliefs to become more effective and informed in real-life discussions about pro-life issues. Songs of Heavenly Visions – the Music of St Hildegard of Bingen

Rebecca Tavener introduces the life and music of St Hildegard of Bingen (1098-1179) with concert performance by Scottish Early Music group Canty.  Free admission (donations welcome).Thursday 4 May at 7pm at Sacred Heart Church, Lauriston, Edinburgh.
